Entry requirements: Previous attunement to Usui Reiki Level 1, plus experience of working with Reiki in both one-one sessions and Reiki shares for a minimum of 3 months.
Please book early to avoid disappointment - a maximum of 6 students can be booked onto each course, to ensure that you get the optimum learning experience, and individual attention. (Minimum of 2 students per course is required)
Second Degree Reiki Training is about reinforcing and enhancing your connection to the Energy, learning the symbols - what they really represent and how to use them, learning to establish and trust a strong distant connection for remote healing and opening up your psychic awareness for intuitive work.
This 2 day, level 2 course will take you to the minimum standard required for professional work.
I willingly accept students who have trained with other masters as long as you meet these requirements but will either phone or meet you for a chat to get to know you, and to see what you have already covered during your Level 1 course.
A course is a minimum of 2 and maximum of 6 students to allow personal attention and adequate time for practice sessions.
The Level 2 course includes:
• Review of Level 1 Training
• Introduction to Level 2 work
• Explanation of the origin, meaning and applications of Level 2 symbols
• Exploration of the spiritual aspects of Reiki practice
• Meditation and Creative Visualisation
• Meditation and Attunement to the Level 2 Symbols
• Paired practical work with each of the symbols, experiencing the different “feel” and qualities of each
• Discussion of the Limitations on Reiki Treatment
• Advanced techniques
• Distant healing
• Development of intuition and psychic insight
• Reiki share to practice new techniques
• Information on setting up in practice – legal, ethical and insurance considerations, practical aspects of a practice, keeping records, advertising methods, safety considerations.
Comprehensive course Manual is supplied together with all refreshments on the day.
To complete Level 2 training:
• You are required to keep a journal of your self- treatments. This is for your use only but your experiences may prompt questions that you may raise with your Master Teacher. This constitutes part of your Continued Personal and Professional Development (CPD)
• You are required to submit 3 case studies for assessment. Each case study should consist of at least 4 treatments on the same person or animal.
• You are required to continue to read widely to expand your understanding of Reiki and swap experiences and insights and to attend appropriate courses and Reiki shares. This all forms part of your CPD and each item should be documented.
• You are required to establish a code of practice for yourself as a therapist
• You are asked to maintain contact with your Reiki Master for a minimum of 6 hours post-course mentoring and support. This may be done via attendance at Reiki shares or group or private tutorial sessions in person or by phone. This also contributes to your CPD.
Guidance on how to comply with these requirements is given as part of the Level 2 course
A Practitioner certificate will be issued upon completion and satisfactory assessment of the Case Studies. Generally it is expected that it will take a minimum of a year to move from complete beginner to competent practitioner.
Please Note:
If you intend to practice professionally in Reiki (i.e. accept payment for your work) you are also advised to:
• Obtain professional and public liability insurance.
• Gain a basic qualification in First Aid techniques.
• Gain a working understanding of Human Anatomy and Physiology.
These items do not form part of the Level 2 course so you will need to consider them well ahead of commencing practice.
